Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you want to know about Stink Farm, bluffing games, and how it all works.
What is a bluffing game?
A bluffing game is a card or dice game where players deceive each other about what they’re actually holding or doing, and other players decide whether to call the bluff. Classic examples include Poker, Liar’s Dice, Coup, and BS. Stink Farm takes that same core mechanic — play cards face-down, declare what you played, dare someone to call you out — and wraps it in a farmyard theme built for the whole family, not just card sharks.
How is Stink Farm different from Liar’s Dice or Exploding Kittens?
Liar’s Dice is a pure bluffing game with dice and no theme or player-vs-player card interaction beyond calling bluffs. Exploding Kittens is a push-your-luck card game with almost no bluffing at all. Stink Farm sits in between: it keeps the classic "play face-down and dare someone to call you" bluffing mechanic from games like BS, but adds action cards (Barn Burner, Stink Sniffer, Bale Blocker, and more) that let you attack, defend, and swing momentum.
What ages is Stink Farm suitable for?
Stink Farm is designed for ages 6–100. Kids as young as 6 pick up the rules in about 5 minutes, and adults enjoy the strategy and bluffing psychology just as much — in our experience, kids often out-bluff the grown-ups.
How many players can play, and how long does a game take?
Stink Farm plays 2–6 players, with games typically running 15–30 minutes. A 2-player game feels like two hogs scrapping over the same slop bucket; a full 6-player game is pure farmyard pandemonium. Every player count plays differently.
Is Stink Farm educational?
Yes, informally. Bluffing games build real skills: reading facial expressions and body language, managing your own "tells," probability and risk assessment (is this bluff worth calling?), and quick decision-making under social pressure. Poker players in particular use Stink Farm as a fun, low-stakes way to introduce kids to bluffing and calling instincts before they ever sit at a real table.
What’s included in the box?
The Stink Farm deck includes 62 cards: 11 different farm animals (played face-down as your bluff) plus 8 unique action cards that let you attack, defend, or flip the tide of the round — Barn Burner, Stink Sniffer, Bale Blocker, Farmer Favor, and more.
Where is Stink Farm made?
Stink Farm cards are printed by a US printing company. That decision took more time and cost more than sourcing overseas, but it mattered to us — read more about why on our Story page.
